Summary: Sales of existing homes in the United States were down in February by 0.6 per cent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.02 million units from 5.05 million in January. However, on an annual basis, sales were up 7.0 percent from the annual rate 4.69 million experienced in February 2009. The median price was $165,100, as distressed properties (35 per cent of the total) pulled prices down 1.8 per cent from year-ago levels.
